“Parenting: It’s a Life”, is a lesson designed for students in grades 7-12. The curriculum is designed to introduce students to the responsibilities of being a parent, the concept of child support, how the child support system works, and the legal consequences of not paying child support. It is important for students to learn that failure to pay child support denies many children their basic needs. The teaching materials are a valuable addition to Family and Consumer Sciences, Life Skills, American Government, Business Law, Health, English, and Psychology classes.
